UPSSSC PET 2025 Notification Released: Apply Online for Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially released the notification for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025. This test is mandatory for candidates aspiring to apply for upcoming Group ‘C’ posts under the Uttar Pradesh government.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Passed High School (10th) or equivalent from a recognized board by June 17, 2025
• Age Limit (as on July 1, 2025)
•  Minimum: 18 years
•  Maximum: 40 years

 Age Relaxation

•  SC/ST/OBC: As per rules
•  Skilled Players: 5 years
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years (after deducting service)
•     PwD: 15 years
•      State Govt. Employees: 5 years

Vacancy Info

There are no specific post-wise vacancies in this notification. The PET is a qualifying exam. Candidates who qualify can apply for future Group ‘C’ posts as per PET score validity (3 years)

Salary (for Group ‘C’ posts after Main exams)

• Pay Band-1: ₹5200 – ₹20200 (Grade Pay ₹1900 and above)
• Pay Band-2: ₹9300 – ₹34800 (Grade Pay less than ₹4600
• Additional benefits and allowances as per government norms.

Selection Process

Written Exam

• Mode: Objective-type, MCQs
• Questions: 100
• Marks: 100
• Duration: 2 hours
• Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
• Subjects Include: Indian History, Geography, Constitution, Reasoning, General Science, Current Affairs, Hindi & English Comprehension, Arithmetic, Data Analysis
• Normalization will be applied if the exam is held in multiple shifts.
• Shortlisting: Based on PET score for upcoming Main exams.

Application Fee

• General/OBC: ₹185/-
• SC/ST: ₹95/-
• PwD: ₹25/-

Note: Fee for Freedom Fighters’ dependents, Ex-Servicemen, and Women will be as per their category.
