✅ Eligibility Criteria

 1. Libralian & Librarian cum Research Assistant

Qualification:

1. Bachelor's in Library and Information Science (or equivalent)

•  Preferably a Degree in Law
•  Basic Computer Knowledge Certificate (as per State Govt. rules)
•  Proficiency in English, Gujarati, and Hindi
• Experience: 2 years in a well-organized library after obtaining the degree
• Age Limit: 21 to 37 years (with relaxations as applicable)

• Maximum Age Limit (with relaxation):.Not exceeding 45 years

 2. Assistant Librarian

Qualification:

•  M.Lib./Master in Library and Information Science
• Basic Computer Knowledge Certificate
• Experience: 1 year in Government/PSU/Reputed Organization
• Age Limit: 18 to 35 years (with relaxations as applicable)
• Maximum Age Limit (with relaxation): Not exceeding 45 years

 Salary Structure

• Librarian & Librarian cum Research Assistant: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 + allowances
• Assistant Librarian: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 + allowances

Selection Process

• Librarian & Librarian cum Research Assistant
• Written Exam: 100 marks (Objective-Type MCQs)
•  Subjects: Library Science, English, GK, Reasoning, Legal Knowledge, Computer Basics
•  Language: English
• Negative Marking: 0.33 per wrong/multiple answers
• Qualifying Marks: 45% (SC/ST/SEBC/PwBD), 50% (others)
• Viva-Voce (Oral Interview): 40 marks
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40%
• Final Selection: Based on aggregate marks of Written + Interview

Assistant Librarian

1. Same structure as above, but:

• Qualifying Marks in Written Exam: 50% (all categories)
•  Final Merit List: 60% weightage for written + 40% viva
