This year, a total of 792 vacancies have been announced for various subjects in Government Medical Colleges across Maharashtra.
The online application process starts from 29th April 2025 and the last date to apply is 19th May 2025. Interested candidates must check all eligibility conditions before applying.

Eligibility Criteria
Nationality and Domicile
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen
- Reservation benefits are only for candidates domiciled in Maharashtra.
Age Limit (as on 1st August 2025
- Open Category: Maximum 40 years
- Reserved/EWS/Orphan: Maximum 45 years
- PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Sports Persons: Relaxations applicable as per government norms.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have a postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch) in the concerned subject.
- For non-clinical subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, candidates with M.Sc. (Medical) + Ph.D. can also apply under specific rules.
- Experience as Senior Resident (one year) may be required for some subjects.
Note: Registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council or Medical Council of India is mandatory.
Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive salary as per Level S-10, ₹57,700 to ₹1,82,400, along with other allowances. A Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) will also be given since private practice is not allowed.
Selection Process

3.Interview: Candidates must score minimum 41% marks to qualify.
4.Final Merit List: Based on screening test (if held) + interview marks.
5.Document Verification: Before final appointment.
